As a recent transplant to
DC, I arrived as an artist with a full portfolio, a bunch of paintings, and NO IDEA where to begin. After coming
across Marga's information at Art-O-Matic, I had a brief 20 minute phone chat with her which convinced me she was
someone worth knowing. In 20 minutes she had given me three new ideas for marketing myself, made me feel that I
actually had a shot at delving into the DC art scene, and given me the confidence to decide that I COULD be a fulltime
career artist.
Taking Marga's Art Boot Camp furthered that conviction. Through meeting other artists,
Marga's infectious enthusiasm for the promotion and furthering of creativity, and her immense ability to organize
and deliver the business principals that elude most artists, I left the Boot Camp feeling a powerful sense of 'ability'.
Marga's personal interest in both my well-being as an artist, and my well-being as a PERSON have given me
the stability and direction I so badly needed and craved as an artist in a new city. It has been three weeks since
I met Marga. Through her un-tiring aid and connections I have already found a part-time job in the arts, prioritized
my entire arts career, made three new connections that are proving very fruitful, AND begun painting a new body
of work (largely inspired by her verbal support and encouragement). I feel VERY lucky to have met Marga and look
forward to her professional advice and personal friendship. Her dedication to all artists leaves me in awe. Heather

Marga is energetic, knowledgeable, interesting, inspiring and “no non-sense” coach. I have learned so much from her through coaching and as a student in the Art
Biz Academy training. Now I can focus on my dreams and my passion, and
I know how to put my vision into words. Thank you Marga for your gift of direction. Cynthia Cole,
lyric soprano and artistic director of the 7 Sopranos - www.7sopranos.com
"Marga infuses her art business students with energy
and direction. Even with 25 years of business experience, it was only after taking Marga's class that I developed the basic tools -biography, resume, and artist's statement, so necessary to the business of art.
Marga was able to connect my wish to use a small space in my photography shop as a gallery with an emerging artist's need to show her work. The result: a successful first exhibition
for the artist and Gallery Indigo!" Nina Tisara, Artist/Photographer http://www.tisaraphoto.com/nina.htm

I am so glad Marga could be my business coach. I knew that my art business
did not fit in with the typical products or services talked about when you take a class in how to run your business. Marga
knew that right on!
Since December 07, when I started working with Marga, I feel like a company not
just an artist working out of her basement. And I can’t wait to go to work meetings with my new portfolio
full of good things about my business that she helped me put together. Sushmita Mazumdar, Writer and Educator, Handmade Storybooks, http://www.handmadestorybooks.com/

"I am very grateful that you provide this class as I have never
been to any art training or educational class that has inspired me to really think about my creative endeavors/ideas
(and myself) in the way that your training does.
Thank you for the tremendous amount of dedication, tools,
assistance, information and pathways for artists (especially women). I, for one, am so excited about the prospect of
what my life is about to become that I am finally starting to experience the joy, instead of the frustration, of having my
creative dreams become reality." Sheryl Gordon, Writer and Illustrator, The Creator of Elder Fairies
"As I ended Marga’s business program, I had more self confidence about my work,
was able to set goals for myself and to develop new avenues for my fused glass.
Marga’s energy and art business insight is
contagious. What she knows, she shares. It was a joy to meet her and continues to be a joy to work with
her." Deborah Schran, http://www.befusedhotglassandjewelrydesign.com/
"Now my artworks are on the home page of the official website of the Embassy of Afghanistan
in Washington DC. It’s all because of you. You really changed my life!" Fatana Arifi, Painter, http://www.embassyofafghanistan.org
"Before I took Marga’s business class for artists, I didn’t
have a clue about building a career as an artist. With Marga’s guidance and support I gained the tools necessary to
open many doors as a professional artist. From the simple information on how to create my portfolio to the wonderful encyclopedia
and reference materials she collected and made available for me on galleries, alternative means for gaining exhibits, marketing,
legal issues, collectors, etc.
I will spend a lifetime implementing the information I gained from Marga, and a lifetime not only creating
the art work I love so much, but also making a living from it. I heartily recommend Marga Fripp as friend, teacher, mentor,
and champion of the arts!" Wynn Creasy,
